Natural Cures Help Keep Us Healthier

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

By C. Barela Natural healing methods, now known as Alternative Medicine, have been around for centuries. Chinese herbal remedies have become known throughout the world for their healing abilities. Indian tribes have been known to use the barks from trees, plants, and seeds to heal their ailments. Even the Bible tells us of natural things we should use to promote good health. That is not to say Traditional Medicine has no place in this world. The medical world has come a long way. Have you ever tried to perform brain surgery, or replace a limb or heart? Best to leave that to the trained professionals. However, there are many natural remedies that can work wonders for our bodies and can help prevent many diseases. By learning how our bodies work we can greatly improve our health. Our bodies produce millions of new cells every day. By ridding ourselves of bad cells, and what’s causing them, we are well on our way to good health. Many studies have shown that 70-90% of most illnesses, such as irritable bowel syndrome, arthritis, chronic fatigue, and many others, begin in the digestive tract. Doing a colon cleanse once or twice a year is a great way to rid our bodies of toxins that may have been in our bodies of years and have not been properly disposed of. Drinking lots of water also helps to dilute unhealthy toxins and flush them out of our bodies. Some illnesses are caused from a deficiency of certain vitamins or minerals. Taking a good vitamin with minerals every day can help replenish the source that may be lacking. Many berries, such as blueberries and gooseberries, are filled with antioxidants that help promote healthy cells and help to heal the damaged cells in our bodies. Taking fish oil every day helps to keep our arteries from clogging which help prevent heart attacks. There are so many other natural remedies for: yeast infections, acne, and the list goes on and on. When a plant has a bad leaf we pull it off. If our car breaks down or starts running badly, many other parts of the car will start to break down as well, until we get to the core of the problem. The same is true with our bodies. We need to educate ourselves about our health and bodies. Just as we would not leave our children in the care of someone with a nothing more than a good reputation, (most of us would want to check the person out for ourselves), we should not leave our health soley in the hands of traditional medicine. How To Get A Loan With Bad Credit

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Tim_Lee]Tim Lee It is considerably more difficult for people with bad credit to receive car, home, or educational loans than it is for even a person with mediocre credit. That is why it is suggested that when you explore how to get a loan with bad credit you first turn to a credit counselor. Credit counselors can introduce you to a range of tactics that can help you increase your credit score in a short period of time. As your score rises it will become easier for you to secure a variety of loans. They can also help you develop a budget and full-fledged financial plan that will enable you to stay on top of your expenses. Even without the help of a counselor, you can receive a loan if you have bad credit. However, there are a number of traps that you will want to avoid falling into, especially if you are entering into a home loan situation. There are number of lending companies that prey on people who have bad credit. They realize that people have only a few options, so they offer interest rates that are far higher than the national average. There are even some agencies that will actually coax people into loans knowing full-well that the borrower will never be able to pay it back. In the worst case scenario, this can cost people their homes and assets. Not all lenders are out to take advantage of people with bad credit. In fact, some lending organizations offer extended loans with low monthly rates to people with bad credit. This reduces the stress of meeting payments, and it offers the opportunity to draw out the payment process. If these loans are paid on time they can actually help rebuild credit. It is important to realize that even the most beneficial bad credit loans can come with stiff penalties if payments are missed. Before you apply, research the myriad resources on how to get a credit card with bad credit that are available online and in bookstores. Writing Successful Grant Proposals

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

By Marty Rubenski Do you need money for your small business startup or charitable project? A grant, either from the federal or state government or a private foundation may be the answer. The federal government alone has $400 billion to give away. Unfortunately, you cant just call them and ask for a check in the mail each grant application will need a written and well thought out proposal. Check out the resource page at the end of this article for links and advice on where to apply and procedures to follow. Follow these guidelines in writing your grant proposal for a good chance of success: 1. Put your self in the reviewers shoes. What is he looking for in your proposal? What information does he need? What format does he prefer? 2. Follow the instructions. It may seem obvious but many, many grant proposals are rejected because basic instructions were not followed. Read and follow any directions. 3. Looks for funding that matches your mission or circumstances. Dont try to change your needs to match the grant. Find the grant that matches your needs. 4. Do some research on the funder. This is particularly important for private foundations. What is the purpose of their grant and what do they want to achieve? 5. Always include a summary or abstract even if not specifically asked for. This covers the project and its aims in two or three paragraphs. It can be part of the proposal or in a cover letter. Include key points to explain the objectives of the project. 6. Review and edit for spelling and grammar. Have somebody else review. Then a third person. Nothing will put off a reviewer faster than sloppy grammar or bad spelling. 7. Be innovation. Be creative. Stand out from the crowd. 8. Learn from the rejections. Ask for feedback from the reviewer if you can. Learn from your mistakes and improve your methodology. 9. Dont give up. Even the best baseball batting average is close to 0.3. This means that they miss 70% of the time. You will fail as much as this, if not more. Keep trying.
