Boat Fishing Tips and Tricks

Monday, March 10th, 2008

By Steve Dolan Boat Fishing If you’re keen to find a fun family activity, then give boat fishing a try. There’s nothing better than heading off on your boat with the wife and kids, talking about the fish you plan to catch that day. It’s important to realize, though, that there are lots of different types of boat fishing, and each one has specialized boat requirements. You can do everything from dangle some bait on a string over the side of a canoe, right through to high-tech rods and a powerful cabin cruiser. It just needs to be seaworthy - the rest is up to you! But if you’re keen to buy a boat, you need to do some homework first. It can be very confusing walking into a boat show or dealership and seeing so many choices. You need to think about what you’re planning to do with the boat before you can decide which one to buy. Here are some popular boat fishing choices. Freshwater Boats If you enjoy fishing in freshwater lakes, rivers or streams, then you don’t need a massive boat. Instead, choose an aluminum or fiberglass boat. Make sure it’s easy to transport and lightweight. Popular choices include bow riders, runabouts or walley boats, with either a small or dual console. These boats are fine for family freshwater boat fishing outings. Offshore Saltwater Boats Fishing out on the open sea is the most common thing people think of when you mention boat fishing. Most people enjoy fishing offshore because they get the chance to catch huge fish and use heavy tackle. It’s important to have a dependable, heavy boat for this type of fishing. You’ll encounter plenty of different weather and situations on the open sea, so you need to be able to rely on your boat. You can choose twin or single outboard motors, and you definitely need a cuddy cabin or a center console. If you want to spend a bit more, you can start to look at the more luxurious boats, including a bluewater or convertible with luxury quarters, and maybe even an elegant living area. Bigger boats generally have powerful inboard diesel engines as standard. Inshore Saltwater Boats If your tastes run to tarpin, snook, trout, bonefish or redfish, then you will want a boat suitable for inshore saltwater fishing. It’s best to have a light boat that is smaller than a 25-footer. All you need is a single outboard motor. You’re likely to be in shallow water at least some of the time, so something like a flat or baby boat works well. These have a spacious deck you can use for casting, and are still float well in shallow water. Bass Boats This type of boat is generally suitable for tournament and sport fishing. They’re colorful, fast, and ride low in the water. It’s preferable if the bass boat has a trolling motor mounted on the bow. Generally they have a platform at both the bow and stern ends, which makes casting much easier. You can choose from aluminum or fiberglass. Float Tubes These don’t really qualify as boats, but fly anglers find them very handy for fishing in mountain streams, ponds and lakes. A float tube is simply a flotation device containing a seat. The angler is partially submerged when seated in the float tube, and uses fins on his feet to navigate around on the water. They’re tricky to handle, and fly-casting requires lots of practice. You can choose between round float tubes, which are similar to an inner tube, and pontoon float tubes, which have an air chamber either side of the fisherman. The pontoons are slightly eiasier to maneuver, as their v-shaped design reduces the amount of water resistance. It’s always a good idea to speak to experienced anglers who either have their own boat or use one regularly. They can give you lots of help in deciding which type of boat is right for you. Read magazines, guides, and talk to your local boat charter service. Fishermen generally love to talk about boats, and you can learn a lot to help you select the perfect fishing boat for your needs. Steve Dolan is an experienced and keen fisherman, who enjoys the outdoors almost as much as catching the fish! Liposuction Costs Basics

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

By Celia Namart A cosmetic surgery done to remove fat from different parts of the body is known liposuction. The other names for liposuction are lipoclastic and suction lipectomy. Canola and aspirator are the instruments used to remove the fat. Liposuction is usually done on the abdomen, thighs, breasts or buttocks. We all know that regular exercise can help in reducing weight. But in certain cases even regular exercise and workouts may not be effective to shed those last extra pounds. Therefore, in these situations, using liposuction techniques is an ideal option. However you must note the fact that liposuction isnt a weight loss technique, it is a process of body contouring. The standard amount of fat removed is approximately around 5 kgs or 10 pounds, although the amount being removed depends on doctor, the patient and also the technique being used. Not everyone has a clear idea on how much a liposuction would cost. If you are planning to have liposuction performed, then it is suggested that you know the price of the surgery before you end being surprised! There are certain factors on which the liposuction cost is dependent. The factors are as follows: The number of areas from where the fat is to be removed Your body type The amount of fat to be removed Apart from the above, liposuction cost is also dependant on the doctors who perform the surgery. The average cost of the procedure for a single part of body can vary from $800 to $1000.You might be offered discount on the rates if you want to treat multiple areas of the body. The price of the surgery may however include some additional procedures that usually follow the liposuction. Different plastic surgeons consider different aspects in structuring their fees. Some surgeons fees depend on the time consumption while others may take into account the number of procedures done at the time of the surgery and there are some surgeons who structure their fees on the amount of fat being removed. Owing to the different ways of determining the liposuction costs, the patient must have an comprehensive discussion on the price prior to the surgery. The patient should make sure that they are comfortable with the conditions on which the price was quoted. Let us sum up the different factors on which the total of liposuction cost may be dependent. Geography, surgeon fees, hospital fees, anesthesia costs, garments, medications, etc. are the different factors. So, while discussing the cost before hand, if you feel the price quoted to you is low, then do not hesitate to ask what is included in the fees and what will be additional costs. If you feel it is the time for you to contour and remodel your body, then go for liposuction and of course verify the prices in advance. However, in spite of the tempting aspect of a newly shaped body, you must know that the recovery process may be somewhat uncomfortable. It usually takes a few weeks to get back into action. There are certain medications that might help in assuaging the pain. So just take your time to get back to your old, normal routine. Although, Liposuction can bring about a change in your life for the better, make sure you pay the right amount and the money spent will be worth it! Celia Namart has been meeting with eating disorder patients for a few years, she has given advice to many on the topics of weight loss and adopting workout routines, she is now writing tips and advice regarding liposuction Costs, and much more at http://liposuction.zupatips.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Celia_Namart http://EzineArticles.com/?Liposuction-Costs-Basics&id=246630 ambien brain damage memory ambien atropine eye buying ambien online lorazepam side effects

Shaving - How To Make It Easy

Friday, March 7th, 2008

By Mike Jones Avoid shaving when first getting up after sleep as body fluids make the skin puffy making it more difficult to shave the hair. After 20 or 30 minutes the skin becomes more taut so the hair shaft is more exposed making it easier. Don’t stay in the bath too long before shaving. The skin will shrivel after eight minutes or so making it difficult to get a smooth, close shave. Use preshave products such as soaps, lathers, creams and gels. They lock moisture into the hair, they help keep the hair erect and they reduce friction allowing the blade to glide easily over the skin. Hair conditioner can also be used to soften hair. The more repeat strokes over an area of skin the greater risk of irritation. To remove stray hairs which are not removed after one or two passes with the razor, use a pop-up trimmer. Never share your razor or shaver with anyone else to avoid skin infections. Running the fingertips over the shaved area is a very effective method of ensuring a close thorough shave. The sense of touch will alert you to stubble and missed patches it may be difficult to see in the mirror. Always wet the hair first for at least 3 minutes. Hair absorbs water which makes it stand up making it easier when shaving. Wet hair also reduces wear on the blade. Shaving after taking a shower is an ideal time. For a close shave with minimal irritation, try and use an angle of approximately 30 degrees between the blade and the skin. To lessen the risk of razor burn and extend the life of the blade, allow shaving cream to sit on the skin for 4 minutes before shaving. Thick shaving cream or foam offers the best protection against irritation and cuts. Use a sharp new blade. If you need to use pressure on the blade it is time to change it. Using a blunt blade can increase the danger of ingrown hair. Splash the skin with cold water after shaving to help stop any bleeding from small nicks and also remove any traces of soap or lather. When shaving the leg area use long strokes going against the grain avoiding repeat strokes. Great care needs to be exercised especially around bony areas such as the ankle or knee. Hair under the arm grows in all directions so a side to side stroke as well as up and down strokes may be necessary to catch all the hairs. Do not apply deodorants or anti-perspirants right after shaving as this can cause acute irritation and soreness. For the bikini line, shave in the direction of the hair and avoid repeating the strokes to minimize irritation in this very sensitive area. Note: Hair inhibitors can slow down hair growth, even when shaving. Responsibility is Key to a Successful Marriage

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

By Ted Segura We have heard of many people who jump into marriage quickly without fully understanding and realizing the seriousness of this way of life. Feeling so much in love, many young couples stop there and say Nothing else matters as long as we are together. Does this sound familiar? The next thing we know, some of them have separated. Why? Didnt they just say as long as were together? From this statement alone, it seemed that both have not been properly informed and counseled what marriage is all about and their roles as husband and wife. When the honeymoon is over, reality sets in. Marriage is not a game or a playhouse. It is the union of husband and wife. Through their love for one another, they have taken the step to live their lives together forming a family. Therefore an important aspect that a couple must take in marriage is responsibility. Marriage means responsibility. We have met wives who are separated and who said that their marriage failed because her husband was irresponsible. We asked them in what way were they irresponsible? One response is that the husband just delegates his responsibilities to his wife. For example, he lets the wife work and take care of the finances while he just stays comfortably at home. Another said that the husband would run away from problems instead of facing them and finding solutions. Another one cannot handle the responsibility of taking care of children. This happens vice versa when the wife too does not live up to her role as a wife and mother. Havent you heard parents say to their children You must be responsible in doing your homework meaning, it is your duty. In a similar way, husbands and wives expect the other to be responsible as a spouse and parent. When this does not happen, problems start to occur between them. We will start to hear the words How irresponsible can you get! You should have done this or that! Each one will start to blame the other. Where there is love, one only thinks of the other therefore takes full responsibility to make his marriage work. Because of love, both husband and wife will then understand their respective roles and help each other concretize it. Marriage means responsibility. Love does not delegate everything to the other but there is reciprocity between the spouses. Love even extends ones responsibility outward. It extends a helping hand. Love makes one accountable to the other. Love not only makes them responsible spouses but even makes them responsible parents. Let responsibility not be a chore but a joy because it is an expression of love. It has that sense of ownership where both spouse now feel, I have a family to take care of. However, one cannot expect the other to be responsible if he or she is not one. He must first be an example to the other. In the same manner towards their children for children watch what their parents do. If couples do not have an entire picture about marriage and their role as married couples, it would be best that they get counseling on this or get proper information. This is to avoid causes that can lead to separation. Responsibility is key to a successful marriage because it is a result of love. Marriage means responsibility. And one can feel the joy of being a fulfilled spouse and parent. Ted and Christine Segura have been involved in the topic of relationships for several years. Does Your Business Have a Scrapbook Online

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

By Audrey Okaneko There is an old phrase that a picture can replace a thousand words. Pictures tell a visual story that words alone can not tell. When I view websites of small businesses, I almost always find an about us page. This is usually one page with the date the business started, the explanation of why the business started and often a written explanation of the location of the business. Why not allow photos to tell the story of the business? Think of travel brochures. They are always loaded with photos. The travel companies want you see the vision of the trip and be sold on that vision. What about web reviews of upcoming movies? There are always photos of the actors and actresses along with photos of movie scenes. Again, the show producers want you to have a visual image that will cause you to buy a ticket or pay to rent the movie, both of which produce income for the show. On your business site, start with you. Do you have a photo of yourself on your website? If you have a staff, do you have photos of them on your website? How fun for customers to see the faces of those they are speaking with, ordering from and exchanging emails with. Did your business start in your basement? What about in your kitchen? Take a photo. Show the start of your business. Once you outgrew your basement, where did the business move to? Show photos. Take photos both inside and outside. Do you manufacture your own products? Take a few photos that show how the products are made. When your title page says about us, provide a visual story of who you are. Your customers will feel like they really know you and its a known fact that folks buy more from those they know and trust. Scrapbooking your business online can increase sales for you and will also do a lot for the morale of the staff to see themselves on your company website.
